Too young for punk but old enough to feel its attitude, Upstart Art is me wanting to do something and giving it a go. I make the images I want to make, in the way I want to make them, and hope people will like them.
Screen printing is a beautiful chaos of analogue order, if there is such a thing. Collections are printed as limited runs, each print slightly unique in its own way. Every image is created, every screen burned, and every print hand pulled in my art shed.
There are 3 rules...
1. Resonate - evoke or provoke a thought or emotion
2. Look nice - my eyes need to be massaged or entertained
3. Fairly priced - we all have to make a living, but we dont need to rinse others to do so
If you like it, buy it. If you dont, dont. And if you would like me to make you something unique, give me a shout.
