Like the beetle but want a little more refinement? Thats the question VW answered for you with the imaginatively named Type 3. More room, more comfort, more speed.. and the Fastback version certainly looked fast (still does).

Despite sharing a lot of engineering (separate body on backbone chassis and a rear mounted air cooled flat 4) these were far more that a Beetle in a party dress. They could shift, and you could drop them super low.

Its rumoured that they were prone to rust although there are not too many about to ask if thats true. Probably just a coincidence.

As hand pulled prints, they are 'imperfectly perfect'. Colours may have subtle variations and not totally align, and no two prints are the same. You can be sure that nobody will have one absolutely identical to yours!
